Half & Whole Pork – Full Details

These hogs are harvested on the last Monday of each month and are available for pickup the following week. If you’d like a whole hog, simply add two half deposits to your cart.


Pricing & Yield

  • Price: $5.25/lb. hanging weight (all-inclusive)
  • Includes: Raising, feeding, transport to processor, processing, vacuum sealing, and freezing
  • Expected hanging weight: ~120-140 lbs. (half hog)
  • Estimated take-home pork: 65-68% of hanging weight (~80–90 lbs. per half)
  • Total cost for a half: ~$680 (half) (your deposit is applied toward this total)

Hanging weight may vary ~10–12% depending on hog size. A slightly larger hog will yield more pork (and cost a bit more), while a slightly smaller hog will yield less (and cost a bit less).

Buying a half or whole hog saves roughly 30% versus purchasing the same quantity through our retail bundles.


Cuts & Customization

We’ll help you complete your cut sheet so your pork is broken down exactly how you want. Options include:

  • Pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • Spare ribs
  • Sausage (mild, hot, Italian, maple) or ground pork
  • Boston butt & picnic roast (perfect for pulled pork)
  • Hams (whole, roasts, ham steaks, or sausage)
  • Pork tenderloin, belly, bacon, fatback
  • Ham hocks, jowls, liver

Pickup & Delivery

  • Pickup is available directly from our USDA-inspected processor in Ellijay, GA
  • Delivery to our farm in Clarkesville, GA is available for a $50 fee

Half and whole hogs cannot be shipped. If shipping is selected at checkout, it will be refunded.
