PIZZA BOMBS featuring Italian Sausage:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Texga Italian Sausage

  • 12 frozen dinner rolls, thawed

  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted

  • Italian seasoning & Parmesan cheese, to taste

  • Optional: small cubes of mozzarella

Directions:

  1. Thaw dinner roll dough according to package instructions and preheat oven as directed.

  2. Brown Texga Italian Sausage in a skillet; drain if needed.

  3. Flatten each roll, add a spoonful of sausage (and mozzarella if using), then pinch dough closed to form a ball.

  4. Bake according to package directions.

  5. With 3 minutes left, brush rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and Parmesan.

  6. Serve warm with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.

SAVORY SAUSAGE BITES featuring mild or hot sausage:

Ingredients:
- 2 pounds teXga sausage (mild or hot)
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs
- 2, 17.3 oz boxes of puff pastries
- 4 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 4 tbsp Everything bagel seasoning
- 1 tbsp mix of dried herbs
- Hot honey, for drizzling

Directions:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • Combine sausage, bread crumb, shredded cheese, and 2 eggs in a bowl or mixer.
  • Lay out puff pastry dough then roll out slightly and cut in half.
  • Place sausage mixture onto puff pastry in a log shape.
  • Spread dijon mustard on one side of the puff pastry and the egg wash on the other side.
  • Fold puff pastry up and seal the turn over and cut into ½-1 inch pieces.
  • Score small slits on the top of the puff pastry then top with egg wash followed by everything bagel seasoning.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the sausage is down and the puff pastry is golden.
  • Once removed from the oven sprinkle with dried herbs and hot honey. Tip, melt your honey a little to make drizzling easier! Enjoy!
