Stock Your Freezer with Farm-Raised Beef:
If you're looking to stock your freezer with 6–12 months of high-quality beef, purchasing a half or whole is one of the best values we offer. Many families also choose to split an order with friends or relatives.

All of our steers are processed at trusted, family-owned USDA-inspected facilities we’ve worked with for years, including locations in Forsyth, GA; Rabun Gap, GA; and Ellijay, GA.

How Pricing Works:
Half and whole beef pricing is based on hanging weight (don’t worry if that’s new to you, we’re happy to walk you through it!).

Our steers typically harvest at a live weight of around 1,300 lbs.
This usually results in a hanging weight of approximately:
- 750 lbs. (whole)
- 375 lbs. (half)
Price: $6.50/lb. hanging weight, which includes:
Processing
Dry aging
Packaging
Freezing

From there, your take-home beef will typically be:
400–450 lbs. for a whole
210–230 lbs. for a half

Your final amount depends on how you choose to have your beef cut. For example, bone-in cuts (like ribeyes or roasts) will increase your total weight, while boneless cuts reduce it—though the total beef you receive remains the same.

Customize Your Beef:
One of the biggest advantages of buying a half or whole is the ability to customize your order.

You’ll work with us to fill out a cut sheet, choosing exactly how your beef is packaged—from steaks and roasts to ground beef. You can also request extras like:

Soup bones (great for stock)
Organ meats (liver, heart, tongue)
Oxtail and other specialty cuts

These “offal” cuts can be incredibly flavorful and are a great way to make the most of your animal.

The Value:
On average, purchasing a half or whole beef saves about 25% compared to buying the same quantity through our retail bundles throughout the year.

How It Works:
1. Reach out with questions: We’re happy to walk you through every step.
2. Reserve your animal: A $500 non-refundable deposit secures your spot and is applied to your final total.
3. Complete your cut sheet:  We’ll help you customize your order.
4. Final weight & payment: Once the processor confirms the hanging weight, the remaining balance is due prior to pickup.
5. Pickup or delivery:

Pick up directly from the processor, or
Delivery available to the farm:
$100 from Forsyth
$50 from Ellijay
$50 from Rabun Gap

All beef is vacuum sealed and frozen, with an approximate 2-year freezer life.

Freezer Space Guide:
Plan for about 1 cubic foot of freezer space per 30 lbs. of beef.
